Today I was at Wright State University's student union promoting the Rivers Institute for the Adventure Summit. The Adventure Summit is an event hosted by Five Rivers Metroparks to promote their adventure programs and other outdoor programs in the area. They also had rock-climbing competitions and kayak competitions. Last night a group of river stewards participated in a canoe battleship competition. Canoe battleship is a game where you have a team of three or four people in a canoe, two people throw buckets of water at the other team and two people paddle the boat, and the goal is to sink another teams canoe. UD held a battleship tournament in the Rec last fall sometime, as well.
Anyways, the Summit was a lot of fun and there are a lot of people supporting the Rivers Institute and our mission.
Unfortunately, I am so swamped with work that I have to study tonight, but my roommate and I are going to reward ourselves with a movie if we actually get work done, but I am not holding my breath.
I hope you are having a good weekend!
