Hello, all! October 4th through the 7th was fall break here at UD, and I suppose it was my last fall break! Anyways, I went home for the long weekend and went wedding dress shopping! My sister drove all Thursday night from North Carolina to be in town for dress shopping, so I was determined to get something while she was home. Friday I went shopping at Wendy's and David's Bridal in Dublin, and I found two dresses that I liked a lot but nothing that I loved. Saturday I decided to give it another shot, and I found the most beautiful dress at a place called Girls in White Dresses in downtown Columbus. I had the classic teary-eyed moment at this cute little boutique, and it was definitely a God thing because they just so happened to be having their annual dress sale. Sooooo I suppose I can say that I said yes to the dress!
Anyways, for the rest of the weekend, I spent quality time with my family and enjoyed being home. I unfortunately have a lot of tests this week and next, so I took home a lot of school stuff and pretty much did none of it. Senioritis has set in where life things matter more than school things sometimes.
While I spent my fall break wedding dress shopping, many of my friends did cool and exciting things. I had several friends go on a break-out trip to an organic farm in West Virginia where they built a greenhouse. They also stopped at a town that is battling problems with coal mining because their mountain tops are being removed for coal. By the way, break-out trips are service oriented trips that are run in the country and out of the country during fall break, Christmas break, and spring break. I would say that half of my friends on campus have participated in one or more break out trips including places such as Belize, Alabama, Ecuador, Applachia Ohio, and many others.
Enjoy the beautiful fall day!
