Hello, there. These past couple of days have been pretty challenging. Yesterday my really good friend's dad had a heart attack, so she went to the hospital to be with her family and has been there ever since. I was so upset for her because she is such a sweet person, and she has been through a lot. So I was all upset for her, and then I got a call from my best friend from home and she got engaged! I went from being really upset to really excited, so it was just a roller coaster night! It was really hard because I would get a text updating me on the surgery, and then a text about wedding plans. All the while these things were happening, I was attempting to study for my physics test---hence the title of this blog. Days like these really make you focus on what is important in life and given the choice of be there for your friends or study, I chose to be there for my friends. I did end up studying, but it was definitely in the wee hours of the morning.
After my test was over, I came back to my room to reassemble everything. Whenever I am really stressed and really busy I tend to just make lots of messes because I don't want to take the time to clean up, so I had piles of stuff everywhere. After my clean-up, my roommate and I just hung out. Sometimes living together makes you not do anything fun together, so we just chatted. It was funny because we both decided to take a nap at the same time, so we laid in bed talking about our future weddings until we fell asleep.
Tonight we ended up going to visit my friend in the hospital. My conscience kept telling me that I needed to go see her and support her, so my friend and I ventured through the ridiculous rain and visited her. It was so nice to be able to give her a hug. Unfortunately, I had taken her a whole bag of things in a paper bag, so when Iwent to give her a hug, the bottom of the bag ripped out. It was so pitiful. Anyways, my conscience is at ease now that I was able to be there for her.
Welp, I am exhausted, so I am going to bed. Have a great day tomorrow and pray for my friend and her family, please!
