One Calm Week

Unlike last week, my classes were not as intense, and I was able to have sometime for myself and enjoy the last few warm and sunny days. By the middle of the week I went swimming for an hour at the RecPlex, the fitness and recreation complex on campus, and then attended one of the study abroad information sessions at the World Cultural Lounge.

The RecPlex, is one of the many state of the art facilities on campus, and students just love to go there. I don't go there as much as I would like to, not as nearly as my roommate that goes to work out there at least once a day. I am trying to go there more frequently, and I have signed up with my roommate for a belly dancing class, which is held in one of its studios.

After a wonderful swimming session, I ran to the World Cultural Lounge, located in Alumni Hall in the center of campus, to learn more about possible service and exchange programs. I found the information session very helpful, with the lady giving the presentation going through all the countries with which UD has a program, explaining the requirements needed for studying abroad for each program. The attendees were also provided with education abroad brochures, that are very helpful and list all the possible choices for the 2009-2010 year.

The rest of the day was calm and quiet. So, I did some homework, talked to my family overseas online and went earlier to bed than usual, around midnight. One needs one of these days sometime to just relax and relief oneself from stressful assignments and tests.
