A Relaxing Weekend

I had a pretty relaxing weekend. I went to the gym a few times to get my swell on and hung out with some friends as well at the Geranium Festival. This festival is held annually in the city where I live, just a few miles south of Atlanta. There is all sorts of things to do. There are hundreds of booths with different items to buy, advertisements for companies, as well as food. The italian sausage sandwhich I had was pretty darn good, it really hit the spot. I have been going to this festival for probably five or six years now, and its always a good time to hangout with friends and just walk around under the hot sun.

On Sunday, I gave a talk to the teens of the church I go to. I talked about the transition between high school and college, and how to maintain a spiritual relationship while in college. Because I have gone through the highs and lows of college, I figured I would be able to relate the topic to them pretty easily. Afterwards, I felt satisfied with how I did, and the teens seemed to be interested. At the end, there were a handful of questions asking about college, how I became a cheerleader, and what its like to be home after being off at school for a year. It was great to see some of the teens that I remembering seeing when they were so much younger. It really was a slap in the face as I am starting to feel really old. Overall I had a pretty decent weekend. I hope this week brings a lot to offer.

As always
