Fall Break

After much anticipation, fall break came and passed. After seven long, hard weeks of class, fall break finally came around. Fall break has always been a 4 day weekend since I have been going to Dayton. Break officially begins after your last class on the Wednesday, but for me, I had class til 8:30 that night, so I had to wait longer for break than most people did. Anyways, I can't complain. Having a few extra days off is nice.

On Thursday, my friends Matt, Pat, and I went golfing. I'm not going to lie, I'm not that great at golf, but it's always nice having some guy time and just chilling out, and not having to worry about anything. Thursday night I worked at Twigs gymnastics and afterwords I had a few people come over and hang out at the house that night.

Friday I slept in for the first time in a while. It felt nice getting some real sleep. After working til 7:30 p.m. I went to my friend Pat's house in Cincinnati for the night. The next morning we headed to his girlfriend's house in Indiana. Most people would think it would be a long drive, but its just about an hour. His girlfriend, Kaitlyn, lives in Liberty, Indiana. It is a small, hick town with farmland for as far as you can see. At her grandfather's farm we went fishing which is always fun. After fishing, we road four wheelers and ended the day at the farm by shooting a 22 rifle, 22 pistol, and a 44 magnum revolver. Its three days later, and my ears are still ringing from shooting the 44 magnum.

Last day of break I headed back to campus early so I could work the 5k/Half Marathon at the football stadium. Though it was pretty cold, I had a good time helping out and seeing how fast the runners finished the race. Overall break was great. It was nice getting away from campus for a few days as well as being able to relax a little bit.

Hope all is well. Be safe and make good choices!
