First Night Football Game in 6 Years

So, I just got back from the football game. We played our rivals Central State University. I will say it was not much of a game until we put in our second string and third string team. We destroyed our rivals 45-13. As for the game atmosphere, it was great. A lot more fans showed up to cheer on the Flyers at the first night game at Welcome Stadium in over 6 years. The fans were into the game, the temperature was comfortable, and some of the old cheerleaders were there to participate.

Probably my favorite part of the game was stunting with my partner's mom. She was a cheerleader at UD back in 1982. She showed us a photo album from when she cheered. It was cool to see some history and see how the looks and uniforms have changed since the 80's. I will be the first to say I'm glad I did not cheer back then, considering the shorts the guys wore were extremely short. I would say the only way I would wear something that short is if I was getting some type of financial incentive.

Leading up to the game tonight was a lot of fun as well. It was a beautiful day. I hung out with my roommates and a few friends on the porch and front yard playing dice and enjoying the beautiful weather while blasting some music. It's days like these that make me thankful for choosing UD as my place to go to college. If everyone could have experience just how much fun today has been, they would have no objections as to coming to UD.

Well, its time to get a shower and go out with some friends. Be safe and make good choices!
