Move-In Day08.24.2010"The day has come to finally move into my house.....43 Evanston. If you hadn't read anything previously, my house actually caught fire earlier in the summer back in July. I was actually nervous whether we would be able to move in, but thankfully the house was rebuilt in time for us to move in. Many people have told me, ""oh that stinks your in that house..."" My response is that we have the newest house on campus now. Before the house didn't have air conditioning but now we are one of the few houses on campus that does have ac.
I pretty much got all my stuff into the house.....but I just got to unpack it. Like many other people, I strongly dislike packing and unpacking. It is a slow process because I end up unpacking a box or two then taking a break and repeat the same process until it eventually gets done. When people are hanging out in the beautiful weather we are experiencing, it's extremely hard to try and get all the unpacking done.
Since we don't have class until Wednesday I am going to meet up with some friends and go out to a party or two. Sitting on the porch watching everybody have a great time is always a sight to see. Words can't describe how great it is to be on campus and moving into where I will be living for my senior year. I got a new house, great guys as roommates, and I'm very close to the RecPlex so going to the gym is just a short walk away!
It's a great day to be a Flyer. I have much anticipation for a great year and I hope you readers have a great year planned. If you are planning to visit UD, come ASAP. The weather is beautiful, the students are happy, and the campus is where you need to be.
Quote of the Day- ""Try to be happy in this present moment, and put not off being so to a time to come,?as though that time should be of another make from this which has already come and is ours.""
