So close.... yet still an hour and half left."Do you ever feel like the time passes by extremely slow, especially when you are anxious to get somewhere? Well that is what I am experiencing right now sitting at the Dayton airport. My flight was supposed to leave at 5 pm but due to some difficulties with radars in Atlanta, there is a 30 minute delay. After much anticipation, I am going to have to wait just a little bit longer.
Though I am anxious to get home, it's great just sitting and knowing that I don't have to worry about school for a few days. Though I do have homework I have to get done, I'm going to worry about on Sunday. I know, procrastination isn't good, but hey its break and I could care less right now.
Tomorrow I am planning on hanging out with some friends after I hang out with my family. Then, on Thanksgiving Day, I get to start early when I run the Atlanta half-marathon with my Dad. The race starts at 7am so I will be up at 4:30 am. I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of dreading running it. I have not trained for this race at all, and well, that is just very early to get up and run. But to look at the brightside, I get a t-shirt and an appetite to eat a bunch of food at Thanksgiving dinner!
It will be nice to eat some real home cooking. I mean I know I don't cook bad, but food from home just tastes so much better. Part of the reason is I don't really have to go through any of the trouble of cooking it and hoping it tastes good. I know its going to taste good because my mom is cooking majority of the meal. My grandfather, Poppy, my mom's boyfriend's parents, niece, and my mom's two friends will be at the big dinner as well as myself, brother, sister, and dad. I am looking forward to a big meal with everybody. But until then, I must wait. The more I think about it, the more excited I get.
Well, it's time to get on the plane.
