The Redsox vs. The Yankees

Its hard, well pretty much impossible, to pick a team that has been more dominant in sports than the New York Yankees. No other team can compare to the 26 championship rings they have. Although I cant say Im a huge fan of either team, I was blessed enough to see one of the greatest rivalries of all time in all of sports.

On Friday night, I watched the game which ended up going into 14 innings, and the Yankees ended up winning with a walk off two run homerun from Alex Rodriguez to win the game 2-0. So for me, this game on Saturday was a big deal, with much anticipation. Getting out of the cab, there were so many things to take in. Its a one of a kind experience. The train screeching over my head on the tracks, the smell of hot dog vendors, the snickering between Boston and New York fans, and the smiles and happiness that was on majority of the faces of fans who had come together to watch the greatest sport of all time.

Walking into the stadium was magnificent. The stadium was beautiful, having much history from the Yankees past years and getting ready for what history would be in the making. We got to our seats, and although somewhat high up, the view was pretty amazing. And so I was there..... I was at Yankees Stadium! When the Yankees came onto the field, close to 49,000 people cheered and clapped for the most dominant baseball team in history. It was a scene like nothing I had experienced.

The game was a great game. The Yankees ended up winning 5-0. The happiness of the fans of the Yankees and the looks of defeat on the fans of the Redsox after losing three straight was priceless. I am very thankful for being able to experience something like this, and I hope one day I will have the oppurtunity to do it again sometime.

I hope everyone has had a great weekend thus far.
