Stress Week

This past week has been pretty stressful. I had my first tests of the second semester: one in biology, one in calculus and one in chemistry. We are also starting our research project in biology lab. We have to test the effects of different variables on plant growth. Because the plant is considered ours, every other day we have to go and water it and add the hormones we decided to use for our experiment. It is not that much of a hassle, but it is just one more “thing” to have to do. Also, midterms are two weeks away. It seems like just yesterday I was getting back from Christmas break.

The good news is that, amongst the papers, tests, projects and quizzes, the weather has been awesome the past two days. Compared to the single digit temperatures of the past week, this new weather is much appreciated. Also, my grandma sent me a Valentine’s Day care package, complete with popcorn, gold fish, easy mac and my favorite candy. Receiving the package definitely made my day better. It also made studying for my biology test a little easier, too.

I plan on going home this coming weekend. I love being back at Dayton, but I feel like I need a break. I think I’m missing home, too. It was really nice to be home for such a long Christmas break that I think I was getting used to it. It’s a good thing that I’m going home for the weekend, though. Since I started college, home has become the ultimate stress free environment. Every once in a while, it’s nice to retreat back into this atmosphere.
