Doesn't Get Much Better Than This

I didn’t know it could get this good. Every semester at UD I feel on top of the world. No matter the stress or challenges that past semesters may have ended with it, I always return the next semester remembering the wonderful things I did leave. An amazing sorority, friendships that continue to grow, challenging courses that I somehow not only passed, but also did well in, and a university that provides endless opportunities to grow and learn from.

As a first year student I always wondered what it would be like to live in the student neighborhood. Now that I am a junior living in the Pi Beta Phi house, I have a better sense of what the upperclassmen were always raving about. I had no clue what a rocking chair, a handful of York Peppermint patties and some people watching could do. I sat out on our porch with one of my roommates the other night and was able to fully grasp how lucky I am to be able to go to this university. As we caught up on our summers and plans for the semester, one of my friends came by rollerblading and he stopped to say hi. He met my roommate and we ended up chatting for a while until he hobbled back down the steps to head home. That night on the porch set the tone for the semester, a fresh start in a great location among me and my 1,000 closest friends.

The next couple of days followed with the first day of school, reading syllabi, and running into friends who I haven’t seen in months. After spending an hour and 15 minutes in each class, it’s looking like a great semester with some lifelong friends by my side.
