Students now targeted in several scams!

Over the past several weeks our IT Service Center has seen an increase in the number of SPAM emails and even phone calls to students from people claiming to be the IRS, FBI, or Microsoft. These are scams!

Please take extra caution when someone tries to get personal information out of you  Also never give someone that calls you access to your computer or password information. Once someone gets into your computer and your accounts it is hard to clean everything up afterwards. The best protection is not letting anyone in to start.  So please, do your research and go to experts in the field for answers. Do not take someone word for it over the phone as they are most likely trying to scam you. Remember to be careful and stay safe.
