Upcoming Network Maintenance

Hello readers! As you might have heard there is going to be a brief interruption to our residential internet service on Feb 18th for 60 minutes sometime between 7 P.M. and 1 A.M.   An email was sent out and is referenced below.  We hope to make the outage as smooth as possible by updating our twitter account @udaytonit with information on the outage as we receive it. If you have academic work that needs internet access don’t worry, as the academic buildings will still have internet connection, these buildings include: the library, KU, Kettering Labs, the Science Center, Humanities, St. Joes, etc.

Email Message:

What: AT&T (the provider for UD's residential internet service) has scheduled a last-minute maintenance window for UD's residential internet connection this Thursday night.

We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may cause, unfortunately the timing was out of UD's control in this instance.

When: Feb. 18 - 19, 7:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.

Affected Areas: Internet connectivity in all campus residences will be unavailable for up to 60 minutes at some point during downtime window.

Additional Information: We encourage students to do important "online work" using the academic network (which is available in places like the library, KU or any other academic facility) as our academic network will not be impacted by this outage.

If you have any questions/concerns, please contact the IT Service Center at (937)229-3888 or e-mail helpdesk@udayton.edu
