Mac Monday: Apple Hardware Test
Did you know that Apple computers come with a pre-installed suite of hardware diagnostic tools? This suite, known as the Apple Hardware Test, is a good way to rule out a hardware issue when troubleshooting problems with your computer. If your computer was released after June 2013, this suite is called Apple Diagnostics. For some Mac models, you can begin this diagnostic test while holding down the ‘d’ key while the computer is booting up. Before starting AHT, make sure to disconnect all external devices except the keyboard, mouse, monitor, and Ethernet adapter. It is also suggested that this test is not conducted on battery power. Please see Apple’s specific information about AHT and GitHub’s AHT troubleshooting solutions for more information about this great tool!
