Dayton Life: Italian and Greek Fest

Italian Festival PosterWith the temperatures cooling down, this weekend will be a great time to experience the Italian and Greek cultures at their respective festivals! The Italian Festa runs Friday through Sunday includes traditional Italian foods like Zeppole, Muffaletta sandwiches, cavatelli, and more. If you're feeling competitive, participate in a spaghetti eating contest on Sunday. Other activities include bocce ball and a Meatball Madness 5k run. Live Italian music will be played through the festival which you can enjoy while watching the Buckeyes, Browns, and Bengals games on the large screen TVs. Admission and parking are free. Check out the Italian festa's site for more information!

The Dayton Greek Festival is held throughout the weekend at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church near the Dayton Art Institute. Enjoy live Greek folk music and costumed dancing before joining a tour of the Byzantine-style church. Hand-crafted items, clothing, and imported jewelry will be available for purchase. Don't miss the Baklava sundae after a dinner of traditional Greek food. Find out more information about the festival at their website
