Dayton Life: Urban Nights

UrbanNightsAs important as our University of Dayton community is, it’s important to step off campus and explore the City of Dayton community as well. This weekend presents the perfect opportunity to do so at the Urban Nights event. On September 12th, head downtown for a free event that exhibits Dayton’s dining, nightlife, art, music, retail, and urban living options. Over 100 businesses, galleries, and restaurants open their doors throughout downtown, the Oregon District, and the Wright-Dunbar Business Village to show off what they have to offer.

Bring your clothing items to the “Splatter Zone” at the corner of First & Wilkinson to be graffitied with paintballs at the Dayton Inspires spray paint station. Three different bands will play at the Splatter Zone stage, while various dance companies will perform at the Art in Action stage. At Courthouse Square, test your athletic skills by trying out slacklining, stand-up paddleboarding, and pixie bike racing. Enjoy restaurant food samples and home improvement displays at RiverScape.

The best way to see everything Urban Nights has to offer is to walk, so make sure to dress comfortably and wear good shoes. Check out this website for more information!
