Fact Friday: SEP 12 Update

10 Step How To: Uninstall Symantec 11 and install Symantec 12 on Windows 7

Step 1.  ‘Click’ the windows button in the lower left hand corner of your desktop home screen.

Step 2.  On the right hand side of the start menu ‘Click’ the Control Panel. (No Image)

Step 3. In the Control Panel menu select Uninstall a program under the Programs heading.


Step 4. From the list of programs select Symantec Endpoint Protection, then ‘Click’ uninstall.


Step 5. The uninstall process will walk you through the process, upon completion be sure to Reboot  upon the completion of the uninstall otherwise you will experience errors when attempting to install SEP 12. (No Image)

Step 6. After your system has restarted log into https://software.udayton.edu/ (No Image)

Step 7. Once you are logged-in type “Symantec” into the search bar, the option Symantec SEP FacStaff 12.1.5 will come up, ‘Click’ the link


Step 8. When you are redirected to the new page scroll down to the bottom, accept the license and agreement by ‘Checking’ the box.


Step 9. When you have accepted the license and agreement click the begin download.
