Tech Thursday: Crowd Source Your Highway Travel

Waze AppThe Waze App for your Android device and iPhone is a good way to crowdsource your way to highway bliss.  Passengers (remember not to text and drive) will post traffic jams and speed traps all across the United States.  This will help in determining safe routes to travel, how long traffic jams might take, and when to slow down so you don't get that dreadful ticket.  While this app is not quite as good in navigation as Google Maps, it does add the ability for your peers to help.  By posting on where issues may arise with time stamps, travelers can judge what routes to take and how long it will really take for each segment of the trip.  Check this app out for yourself and see what its all about:
