THE PSE PROGRAM - A TRULY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE!Image result for ft myers

  • Effective sales courses utilize role play, so you can try out successful techniques.  Exceptional ones use real products and non-students as buyers. The very best immerse you in the real world. Gartner, a $2 billion company has invited UD to bring 20 students to tour their world-class facilities, shadow their employees, and try their hand selling Gartner products to Gartner Sales Leaders. That’s total immersion!  You’ll meet UD alumni, sales managers, and learn best practices through coaching, feedback, and evaluations.  Gartner, the Talarico Sales Center’s largest internship provider, requires all interns to have had this class.
  • Sales training will obviously increase your earning potential - in a sales career, but the tools for successful sales will help advance your career in almost all fields today. Developing persuasion and active listening skills, for example, are crucial to success in today’s business environment. During this Program, students will gain insight into topics relevant to Sales, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Communications.
  • But please, leave your parkas at home and pack plenty of sunscreen — average high temperatures should be in the mid-70s all week.  And yes, you’ll have some time to work on your tan—the beach is only 30 minutes away!

THE PSE PROGRAM - WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

Image result for ft myers beachA robust selection process will determine which student applicants are selected for the PSE Program, providing them the opportunity to interact with Gartner sales leaders and UD alumni in professional settings. The PSE on-site Program meets each morning at Gartner’s facilities, with class sessions and professional speakers.  On two afternoons we’ll have a corporate tour and job shadowing experiences.  On Friday each student will sell a Gartner product to a Gartner executive who’ll provide detailed feedback.  Plus each student will perform a mock final job interview with Gartner staff.  That’s a skill that’ll come in handy as you begin your job search! Follow-up work will include additional reflections and a job shadow report detailing the experience. The entire class will share their experiences as part of UD’s Stander Symposium – an alternative day of learning set aside during spring term to highlight student work.
