THE BESST PROGRAM - A TRULY UNIQUE EXPERIENCE!

Golden Gate BridgeWhat would it be like to pursue a program designed to educate students in global leadership through premier study and collaboration with alumni leaders and key professionals at companies in the Silicon Valley and San Francisco areas? The BESST Program offers world-class experiential learning opportunities that meet the highest standards of academic quality by connecting students with highly experienced alumni leaders who have the knowledge, skills and insights to effectively and positively navigate across different industries, business functions and cultures. Students will gain insight into topics relevant to Human Resources, Marketing, Leadership and Entrepreneurship.

THE BESST PROGRAM - WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

  • A robust selection process will determine which student applicants are selected for the BESST Program, which will provide them the opportunity to interact with alumni leaders and company managers in professional settings.
  • The Program will consist of a comprehensive and aggressive itinerary that includes multiple days of company site visits, guest lectures by alumni leaders, and events such as panel discussions and networking sessions. Students will also develop a blog to capture their reflections on all events.
  • Follow-up work will include additional reflections and a video project highlighting alumni leaders, company visits, events and other excursions. Students will then be provided critiques and coaching leading up to team presentations of experiences and videos at UD’s Stander Symposium – an alternative day of learning set aside during spring term to highlight student work.
