Deloitte Consulting's Battle of Ohio

The Battle of Ohio (BoO)  is an undergraduate case competition,  sponsored by Deloitte Consulting’s Strategy & Operations practice and hosted by the University of Dayton. The competition made its inaugural debut in February 2012, providing students across Ohio with the opportunity to be challenged by a Deloitte case study, present their findings, and receive feedback from Deloitte practitioners on logical structuring, problem solving, and presentation skills. Students, in teams of four,  have one week to develop a solution to a real world business problem (the case) before presenting their recommendations in front of a panel of Deloitte judges.

The competition is executed in one very busy day.  The morning features a preliminary round where Deloitte judges pick three finalists from the presenting teams.  After each team has an individual debrief with the judges, finalists then present again in the afternoon to a panel of Partner/Principal/Director judges. As part of the activities, participating students have the opportunity to attended a Q&A session with recent graduates working at Deloitte to learn more about the consulting experience.

The competition is held every Fall semester.

Participating Universities: University of Dayton, The Ohio State University, Miami University, Xavier University, University of Cincinnati, Wright State University, Case-Western Reserve University, and Denison University
