PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our state-of-the-art program combines course work in management and operations planning with hands-on experience through capstone consulting projects. You will take courses from various fields of study, in addition to the core set of six operations and supply management courses. Electives allow you to tailor your studies based on your interests, and you may choose concentrations in business process management, e-commerce, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, operations accounting, quality management and supply chain management.

You'll gain hands-on experience through a capstone operations consulting field project. As part of the project, you’ll deal with operations and supply problems of a real manufacturing/service firm in the Dayton, Cincinnati or Columbus area.

Plenty of professional support is available, as the operations management program is supported by a strong and dedicated advisory council composed of executives from leading area organizations such as American Trim, Dayton Power & Light, Deloitte Consulting, Emerson Technologies, General Electric, Johnson Electric, Meijer, Premier Health, PriceWaterhouseCooper, Standard Register and USAF Sourcing. The advisory council provides guidance to the faculty in areas of curriculum, capstone project support, internship experiences and job placement upon graduation.

The School of Business Administration's undergraduate and graduate programs are accredited by AACSB International — The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
