On loan from a local private collector, this faculty-selected exhibit will feature rare and near-priceless first editions, manuscripts, galley proofs, papyri and illustrations spanning the scholarly spectrum from philosophy to physics. You will see seminal works from scholars in arts, sciences, history,

education, literature and music. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity you do not want to miss.

Author and bibliophile Nicholas Basbanes, a 2014 Andrew Carnegie Medal finalist for nonfiction, gives the exhibition’s keynote address at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29, in the Kennedy Union Ballroom (cosponsored by the University of Dayton Speaker Series). Closing reception, Sunday, Nov. 9, 2-4 p.m., free and open to all.
