New Abolitionist Movement Pulsera Project

Monday, October 27

Time: 11 a.m. — 2 p.m.

Location: KU Table Hours

The New Abolitionist Movement is working with the Pulsera Project again this year.  That means we will be selling the unique and colorful bracelets that were hand-made by people from Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Uganda who were at high risk of being subjected to work in sweatshops.  In addition to helping to provide a living wage for them, we will also be sparking the question of where and who makes the products we purchase for students of UD.  How was this made? Where was it made? What was the treatment of the employees before this product arrived in my possession?  What is modern day slavery?
