Connie Matthews, Black Panther Party Int ernational Coordinator from 1968-1971, is one of the most recognizable faces of the Panthers' global organizing efforts in the U.S., Europe and Africa. Robyn Spencer will trace the evolution of Matthews' vision, analyze the successes and failures of her international organizing efforts, and contextualize her life as part of a growing group of radical black activist women operating on the global stage during the Black Power era.
