Columbus-born Aaron Diehl, now known across the globe as one of today’s leading jazz pianists, comes to Dayton, thanks to the Cityfolk Legacy Jazznet Endowment. Growing up playing hymns in church, Diehl went on to assimilate virtually every genre of music — although jazz became his touchstone; he went on to graduate from Juilliard in 2007 and in 2011 won the American Pianists Association Cole Porter Jazz Fellow competition. In the intimate Sears Recital Hall, the Aaron Diehl Trio promises to be a special experience. For tickets, call the Kennedy Union Box Office at 229-2545 or visit go.udayton.edu/artslive
