A gorgeous tour of the world’s music traditions, led by guitarist Alex Skolnick, who made his initial reputation in the metal world (with the Bay Area band Testament). This acoustic program is based on an ambitious CD released in 2014 that involved 27 notable musicians representing two dozen countries. Although a smaller ensemble will perform for this concert, a similar sampling of world music will be featured — anchored by Skolnick’s formidable guitar chops, which he now employs across genres from metal to jazz and world. For tickets, call the Kennedy Union Box Office at 229-2545 or visit go.udayton.edu/artslive
