From Mambo to Hip Hop is a documentary that tells a story about music from the South Bronx, beginning with the Puerto Rican migration and the adoption of Cuban rhythms to create the New York salsa sound. Popcorn and soft drinks provided. Hosted by Jay Martinez, spoken word artist. This screening is part of the Hispanic Heritage Month Film Series, co-sponsored by Dayton Human Relations Council and the Libraries' Diversity and Inclusion Committee. This event is AVIATE eligible.
