Toward Global Peace, Justice and Conflict Resolution: What Would a Transition Strategy Look Like?

Friday, November 20

Time: 3:30 p.m. — 5:30 p.m.

Location: Marianist Hall, suite 217

Strategic planning is common to institutions of all sizes and kinds, but not to the system of global governance. While few would disagree that the global system is in crisis, a contemporary allergy to grand plans for political reform, global governance and governance in general has acted to inhibit planning projects. Dean Strauss will address whether it is useful for academics to consider strategies for global structural change and what a transitional plan to further global peace, justice and conflict resolution might look like.

Light refreshments will be served
