Curator Judith Huacuja will discuss themes from the exhibit, Latino Art of the Midwest: Into the 21st Century. The exhibit presents powerful works of art, including prints, paintings, sculpture and video. Exhibit themes include political representation, equal opportunity for education and jobs, as well as broad civil and human rights. See the work of artists from Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin. The art and presentations by art historian and curator Judith Huacuja and the featured artists aim to foster understanding of local Latino histories in regional and national contexts.
