Title: The Nahm Transform

Abstract: The Yang-Mills equations is a system of PDE's whose solutions are a nonlinear generalization of harmonic functions. Despite their complexity, there is a technique, called Nahm transform, able to find all their generic solutions of Yang-Mills, starting from algebraic information. In this talk, I will explain the basics of the transform and give some examples of its use.

Refreshments are available at 3:00 PM in SC 313F.

The department colloquia are held every Thursday (excluding holidays) at 3:35 pm in room SC 323 unless otherwise noted. All are invited to attend.
