Transitioning into the academic and cultural setting of post-secondary institutions can be problematic for students particularly in the area of academic integrity. This is even more so for international students who may come from backgrounds that differ greatly from the academic and cultural norms of the U.S. The facilitators of this presentation will guide participants through the challenges of students acculturating to the standards of academic integrity, how to address issues of academic misconduct through effective strategies of prevention, and ways to respond to academic misconduct. Participants will have the opportunity to share their own experiences, successes, and challenges in dealing with this issueas well as brainstorm additional means of addressing it.
