Rock on at the Metal in Strange Places Conference, beginning Thursday, Oct. 20th at 5:45 p.m. in the courtroom with Prof. Tracy Reilly. As keynote speaker, Prof. Reilly will be presenting "Heavy Metal in the Courtroom," where she will examine the ways that heavy metal musicians find themselves in court, with a focus on infringement and sampling, but also touching on wrongful death/tort causes of action based on allegations of subliminal messaging in metal music.

The third-annual cross-campus conference, which runs 3 days and is hosted by the UD English department, examines cultural issues related to heavy metal music. A great opportunity to mingle with creative folks and the lawyers who represent them. Conference details here. Full event agenda here.
