Art may address any one or more of the many dimensions of diversity, including but not limited to racial, ethnic or gender diversity. The work may represent a broad notion or a specific instance of diversity, such as diversity borne out of (dis)ability, geography, sexual orientation, national affiliation, religious traditions or cultural background. Student work will be presented in an exhibition at the UD president's residence, running from January through May, 2017. Submit entries (actual work) by December 5. Work will be delivered to Mike Conlan at Fitz Hall Room 257 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 5. Include your name, email address, title of work and media on back of work. Notice of accepted entries will be sent by Dec. 10. The department of art and design and the Office of the President will provide each accepted artist up to $70 reimbursement for framing of this work. All accepted work must be framed and ready to hang onto a gallery rail system. Selections will be made by curators including art and design faculty Erin Almazan, Darden Bradshaw, Jayne Matlack Whitaker as well as President Eric Spina. Deadline for entries is Dec. 5, 2016. Selected artists notified by Dec. 10, 2016. Opening reception to be determined. Exhibition dates Jan. 17 through May 5, 2017.
