Jason Spence, Ph.D, Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine Cell & Developmental Biology, University of Michigan Medical School, Ann Arbor presents "Building Organs In Vitro Using Human Pluripotent Stem Cells." This seminar is sponsored by the TREND Center (Center for Tissue Regeneration and Engineering at Dayton).

This presentation is the first Panagiotis A. Tsonis Memorial Lecture, held in honor of long-time biology faculty and TREND director Takis Tsonis (1953-2016). Dr. Tsonis came to the University in 1989 and served as the Brother Leonard A. Mann, S.M. Chair in the Sciences from 2002 to 2006. He was the director of TREND from 2006 until his death in 2016.
