School of Law Jurist in Residence 2017

The Right Honorable Sir John Royce will begin a week-long visit Feb. 19 to the University Of Dayton School Of Law as the 2017 Jurist in Residence. He will give a luncheon presentation, free to all law students, in the Atrium at noon Wednesday, Feb. 22.
Sir John Royce has served as Presiding High Court Judge for the Western Circuit of Great Britain and is a Judge on the Court of Appeal, Criminal Division, which for the vast majority of criminal cases is the equivalent of our Supreme Court. He has also served as Chairman of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission, which reviews classified intelligence material on suspected terrorists and decides whether the British Home Secretary is justified in deporting, refusing entry, or denying naturalization of those individuals.
