"Property and Subordination: A Symposium" will consider how property law, both in theory and in practice, has contributed to the subordination of particular groups of people. Keynote speaker will be Orlando Patterson, John Cowles Professor of Sociology at Harvard University. Participants include Eduardo Penalver, professor of law at Cornell Law School; Claire Priest, Yale Law School; Al Brophy, University of North Carolina School of Law; and Eleanor Brown, visiting professor of law at the University of Dayton, who organized the symposium.
