Prominent African-American expert on Frederick Douglass, K. Carl Smith, presents the inspiring story of abolitionist, statesman, author, orator, and ex-slave Frederick Douglass. Learn how Douglass overcame slavery through education, a disciplined work ethic, land-ownership, and entrepreneurship. Frederick Douglass rose from slavery to prosperity and a position of eminence, becoming an advisor to Presidents--the ultimate American Dream story.
