Join Dr. Brett Kirby (Lead Physiologist of Next Generation Research, Nike Sport Research Lab) as he provides an in-depth view behind Nike’s Breaking2 attempt through a scientific and innovative lens. Breaking2 is a quest to see if a human can run a marathon (26.2 miles) in 2 hours or less, without being pushed or pulled. It’s an idea grounded in the concept that an athlete can stretch beyond human limits.

This special event is part of the 30th Annual Doris Drees Distinguished Speaker Series, and is sponsored by the UD Department of Health & Sport Science.
