Public Presentation - Diversity Mapping Self Assessment

Monday, October 9

Time: 2 p.m. — 3:30 p.m.

Location: Boll Theatre

The Diversity and Inclusion Assessment Task Force (DIATF) invites the campus community to a public presentation by Dr. Rona Halualani, managing principal and founder of Halualani and Associates.

Halualani & Associates has created an important process of inquiry known as “diversity mapping” for universities and colleges to assess their progress on efforts addressing diversity, equality, and inclusion. Diversity mapping refers to a process of plotting out and analyzing (via 16-18 data layers) all of the diversity efforts, programs, and relevant at courses at UD. This process will enable UD to identify current strengths, challenges and opportunities to advance our Catholic and Marianist mission. The process will also better position UD to achieve evidence-based and data-informed stewardship of financial and human resources in support of efforts related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

This presentation is part of campus self-study led by DIATF to do the following:

1. Lead the campus in the development and implementation of a comprehensive (University-wide) outcomes and impact assessment of diversity and inclusion efforts.

2. Lead the campus in the development, implementation, and analysis of a comprehensive campus experience (climate) survey.*
