Asian and Pacific American Heritage: REAL Topics: What is Asian?

Location: Office of Multicultural Affairs - Alumni Hall Room 101
When you hear the word “Asian” what images come to mind? Where do these images come from? Are there negative stereotypes associated with these perceptions or do you feel there are advantages? Come and discuss answers to these questions and other questions you might have about the many different dimensions of Asian identity. The conversation will also focus on why some identify as Asian while others choose not to. There will also be a focus on what it means to be Asian in today’s society.
