Lisa Beutel, Ph.D. - Executive Director

Lisa Beutel photoLisa is an experienced executive development professional who has been with the University of Dayton Center for Leadership since 2001. She is experienced working with emerging and senior-level leaders in diverse environments including health care, government, manufacturing, information technology, professional services, higher education and not for profit agencies. She has extensive leadership consulting, coaching and facilitation experience, and is certified to administer numerous leadership assessments. She has designed and/or delivered custom leadership programs for numerous organizations including Altrusa International, BetaLasermike, CareSource, DPL Inc, Danis, Dayton Children’s Medical Center, F&P America and Gosiger and is a frequent speaker on the topics of work/life balance, wellness, mentoring, and team building. She is also a level 1 certified facilitator of The Corporate Athlete program by the Human Performance Institute in Orlando, FL.

A recipient of the Dayton Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” award, Lisa was also Linkage Inc’s Women in Leadership Summit scholarship award winner and a University of Dayton Ellis Joseph scholarship award winner. She received a B.A. in Political Science from North Carolina State University, an M.A. in Education from the University of Akron, and a Ph.D in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton. She is an active community volunteer and youth basketball coach.

Robin Brun - Business Development Director

Robin Brun photoRobin has been leading the Center’s business development and partner relations efforts since 2011. She previously held executive level consulting services and business development roles with Zenith Performance Group and Right Management, and was the assistant vice president and manager of education and career development at Fifth Third Bank, where she oversaw the development of more than 800 employees.

Robin’s passion lies in helping leaders and their organizations maximize their effectiveness by aligning their leader’s strengths and talents with the organization’s business imperatives, and filling in the gaps through leadership development and coaching. As an experienced facilitator, Robin has designed and delivered programming for many industries, including financial services, health care, manufacturing, and not for profits. She is also experienced as a career counselor, coaching hundreds of displaced employees through their career transitions.

Robin currently serves as the Chairperson for Workforce Readiness for Miami Valley Human Resource Association.  In 2012, Robin was recognized by the Women in Business Network as one of the Top 25 Women to Watch.  In her spare time, she is the host of Putting Faith & Hope In Your Job Search for a global radio station.

Brent Kondritz - Associate Director & Program Manager

Brent Kondritz photoBrent provides leadership and oversight to the Center’s Executive Development and Emerging Leader programs. He is an experienced trainer and coach who is passionate about helping high potential leaders accelerate their leadership development.  He is skilled in using such instruments as the DiSC profile, Mentoring Styles Indicator, and various leadership models and 360 assessments.  Prior to joining the University of Dayton Center for Leadership team, he held positions as a corporate trainer, manager of training and development, senior HR manager, director of sales operations and director of strategy within Sprint, BellSouth/AT&T and The Berry Company.  His diverse background and experience has assisted him in developing customized leadership programs for profit and non-profit organizations in such areas as education, energy, government, manufacturing, and telecommunications. 

Brent received his B.S. in marketing and minor in psychology from Eastern Illinois University and his MBA from the University of Nebraska-Kearney.  He is currently enrolled in the Educational Leadership Ph.D. program at the University of Dayton.

Corinn Shemak - Assistant Director Programs & Marketing

Corinn Shemak photoCorinn Shemak loves a challenge. Since arriving in the Dayton Region just over two years ago. Corinn has been integral to the success experienced by the University of Dayton Center for Leadership. She is a high achieving, high performer who never hesitates to take on a new task or challenge, especially when she knows it will make for a better experience for our customers. Whether it is managing our financial operations, developing new policies, or designing a new leadership program for a group in need, Corinn manages a tremendous amount of work, yet is quick to jump in and help a colleague with a project or task. 

It takes a strong leader to help others grow and develop the skills they need to become successful leaders of their own. Corinn has served as Leadership Program & Marketing Manager, overseeing all aspects of a leadership certificate program for new and experienced supervisors as well as our one-day leadership workshops for professionals.Her hands-on approach to leadership and learning, and ability to develop strong relationships with her students has helped this program grow in program quality, quantity of programs offered, and student enrollment. 

Corinn also practices what we preach about the value of lifelong learning and recently began work on her PhD in educational leadership, while also serving as a mother of two active kids. 

Chuck Bushnell - Assistant Director of Programs

Chuck Bushnell photoChuck is a self-motivated top performer with excellent leadership skills. He has over 15 years of Human Resources experience including the development, delivery and analysis of outstanding training programs, conducting thorough needs assessment and developing creative solutions to problems. Chuck's sspecialties include, Instructional Design, E-learning Programs, Project Management, Budget Management, Broad Based HR Skills, On-boarding Programs, and Proven Leadership Skills.  Chuck has been an asset to the Center for Leadership since joining the team.  He excels at identifying the top thought leaders and bringing them to UD for top notch Executive Development Programming.  He also facilitates several programs here at the center.  

Abbey Brown - Event Operations and Business Manager

Abbey Brown joined the University of Dayton Center for Leadership as our new Event Operatons & Business Manager. Abbey came on board in early March and has already made a tremendous impact on our ability to best serve our partners. Abbey has a BS in Organizational Leadership and MS in Leadership Development from Wright State University.
