The American Classroom Experience in China

By participating in the B.E.S.T. program, not only will you be interacting with American students and professors in an all-American style classroom setting, but you will be earning college credits that may be transferable to any U.S. institution.

In addition, based on your high school GPA, the University of Dayton will waive its English proficiency requirement (i.e., TOEFL, IELTS) if you would like to be considered for admission to an undergraduate, degree-seeking program at the University of Dayton.

English proficiency will be waived accordingly as follows:

Pathway to the University of Dayton, U.S. campus - after successful completion of the B.E.S.T. China program, you can apply for spring 2017 and fall 2017 undergraduate intake. Undergraduate applications will also be considered for a four-year merit scholarship.

Each B.E.S.T. program is unique - course offerings include arts, business, engineering, humanities, natural sciences and social sciences. Sample courses include:

College English prep is also available to complement your academic studies and help you excel in the classroom.

Program Dates

For the 2016-17 academic year, the B.E.S.T. China program dates are as follows:

Fall 2016 - August 18 to November 22, 2016 (12 weeks)

Spring 2017 - January 12 to April 24, 2017 (12 weeks)

Summer 2017 - May 11 to June 26, 2017 (6 weeks)

Program Cost

The cost of the program is dependent on the number of credit hours you take:

  • 6 credit hours of tuition (2 courses): USD $5,000
  • 12 credit hours of tuition (4 courses): USD $8,000

Affordable academic experience - B.E.S.T. China tuition has been discounted up to 50 per cent of regular University of Dayton tuition.
