Learn More

Community Means Everyone

From one of the largest Campus Ministry programs in the country, which serves students from all religious backgrounds, to our Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center (MEC), you can find support to learn and grow through leadership and service, faith and justice in our intentionally inclusive community. We’re committed to becoming an anti-racist university, and through our interdisciplinary Race and Ethnic Studies Program, you can develop intercultural competencies, take part in our annual “Native Peoples of the Americas” colloquium and earn a minor in Africana Studies, Latinx and Latin American Studies or Race and Social Justice.

Experiential
Learning

At UD, learning always extends far beyond the classroom. You could get impressive internships at places like ESPN, NBC or the Pentagon. Make a difference through Amnesty International, Habitat for Humanity, UNICEF and more. Work directly with criminologists on their research. Earn a full scholarship to conduct research in Malawi. Work at the Ohio Statehouse. Lead in anti-human trafficking advocacy through Abolition Ohio. Network with alumni in D.C. through Dayton2DC. Or travel with “Flyers in Hollywood” to learn firsthand about new industry trends from experts in communication and broadcasting. Our commitment to experiential learning is one of the reasons The Princeton Review recognizes UD as one of only 50 “Colleges that Create Futures” in the nation.
