Planning A Catered Event

Whether your catering order is received by phone, email, in person, or placed online, please make sure you are prepared and remember to include or provide the following:

Contact Information:

  • Department or group name/affiliation
  • Account number or payment type
  • Facilitator or organizer of the event
  • Best contact number and/or cell number
  • Best email

Reservation Information:

  • Reservation number *if available
  • Event date
  • Room number/building
  • Event start & end time
  • Estimated number of guests
  • Noted dietary concerns/restrictions

To ensure that Catering Services provides the highest quality of service for you & your guests:

  • Menus for larger events such as a served meal or a social/reception should be selected within (7) business days to prevent a 10% later order service fee.*(3) business days for small breaks or pick-ups.
  • Provide as much of the guaranteed event information as possible upon initial ordering and call in your final headcount no earlier than (3) business days prior to your event. These practices help to prevent multiple order changes.
  • Provide notice of event cancellation no later than (4) business days prior to your event date.
*A business day is defined as Monday thru Friday (8:30am - 4:30p), excluding the day of service.
