Profile

Brenna has been with the University of Dayton since fall of 2009. She received her B.A. in
English and Fine Arts from King College in Bristol, Tennessee, and an M.A. in Applied
Linguistics from Georgia State University. Brenna has worked as a faculty member and
administrator in various primary, secondary, and higher education settings, including the
Intensive English Program at the University of Dayton for 6 years. Most recently, she has been
the Program Coordinator for the University of Dayton English Language Institute (UDEL) since
2015, where she works to serve EFL teachers and learners in Latin America. Brenna has done
research in second language writing and prosodics, and is especially interested in affective issues
in intercultural communication. Her current doctoral studies focus on effective teacher training
strategies for online and blended learning environments, as well as critical issues in teacher
development.
