Profile

As assistant director Jeanne oversees the Honors Program office staff, and manages the finances for the University Honors Program, the Office of Fellowship Advising, the Berry Summer Thesis Institute and the UHP scholarship programs. She also manages the alumni records and assists the director in recruitment efforts. Jeanne initiated the University Honors Program archives and alumni database to preserve the history of the Honors Program.

Jeanne came to UD in 2001 as assistant director in the University Honors Program after a 25-year career in the museum field. (One of her earliest projects in Dayton included researching and writing the copy for the historical marker in front of St. Mary’s Hall.) She received her bachelor’s degree from the College of New Rochelle in New York. As a museum professional she has published articles and presented papers at conferences on aviation history, collections management and conservation topics. She is a graduate of the Leadership Dayton program.

Over my years at UD I’ve enjoyed working with all our directors, associate directors and fellow staff members and adapting our work to the changing needs of the office as the Program as evolved and grown. Working with Honors students has been a joy and an honor.
