Amy Krug

Lecturer

  • Full-Time Faculty

Profile

Amy is currently a full-time lecturer, specializing in Professional and Technical Writing. She teaches both traditionally and online. She has been with the University since 2002, first as a web developer for the School of Law and then as both a full-time and adjunct instructor.

Faculty Perspective

In addition to traditional composition and professional writing topics, I am interested in the scholarly discipline of popular romance studies, and have focused my ENG 198 and 200 courses around that theme. Because I teach online, I am also continually learning and developing good pedagogical approaches to delivering information and facilitating interaction in online courses.

Degrees

  • M.A., University of Dayton, 2004, English Composition
  • B.S., University of Dayton, 1998, Computer Information Systems

Courses Taught

  • ENG 100: Writing Seminar I
  • ENG 198: Honors Writing Seminar
  • ENG 200: Writing Seminar II
  • ENG 370: Report and Proposal Writing
  • ENG 371: Technical Writing
  • ENG 372: Business Writing

Scholarly Interests

In addition to teaching, I write in various genres including romance. To go along with my creative writing, I am interested in the relatively new scholarly discipline of popular romance studies, and have focused my ENG 200 courses around that theme.
