Profile

Staci Daniels-Sommers received her B.A. in Psychology and Political Science and her M.S.W. in Interpersonal Practice with Children, Youth and Families from the University of Michigan. She is a fully licensed clinical social worker in the state of Michigan and the state of Ohio. Before joining the Fitz Center in January 2014, Staci was the Coordinator of Alternative Breaks at the Ginsberg Center for Community Service and Learning. In 2013, she was recognized as Staff Member of the Year by Break Away, a national nonprofit that supports alternative breaks programs across the country. Staci also practiced as a psychotherapist working primarily with individuals and families. In her role as Assistant Director for Community Engaged Learning, Staci coordinates the University of Dayton's AmeriCorps programs, Semester of Service and Youth Economic Self-Sufficiency. Staci is very active in the Dayton community, as a member of Generation Dayton, and serving on the Boards of Directors for Life Essentials and Girls on the Run.
